Deputy Speaker Kalu Felicitates Muslims, Calls for Prayers for Peace and Unity

ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In his goodwill message, Kalu urged Muslims to sustain the spirit of sacrifice, discipline, and compassion demonstrated during Ramadan, emphasizing the need for continued prayers for peace, unity, and national progress.

He noted that Nigeria is at a critical point in its development, requiring collective efforts, tolerance, and mutual understanding among citizens of different religious and ethnic backgrounds.

According to him, the values of love, charity, and selflessness upheld during Ramadan should guide interactions beyond the festive period.

The Deputy Speaker also called on religious leaders to continue promoting messages of harmony and coexistence, stressing that national unity remains essential for sustainable growth and stability.

Kalu further encouraged Nigerians to support government initiatives aimed at improving security and economic development, adding that peace is a shared responsibility that must be nurtured by all.

He wished Muslims a joyful celebration and prayed for continued blessings, prosperity, and unity in the country.
