Deputy Speaker Kalu Felicitates Muslims, Prays for Peace and Progress

ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Ph.D, CFR, has extended heartfelt Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and the world.

In a message personally signed by Kalu, the Deputy Speaker prayed that the sacrifices of Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan be accepted by Almighty Allah and that their prayers and aspirations be fulfilled.

“May your sacrifices be accepted, your prayers answered, and your hopes fulfilled,” the statement read.

Kalu, who represents Bende Federal Constituency of Abia State, also used the occasion to pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and continued progress. He urged citizens to remain hopeful and steadfast as the nation continues its journey toward a brighter future.

“May this season bring blessings to our nation as we continue our journey toward a brighter future,” he added, emphasizing the importance of national cohesion and inclusive leadership.

The Deputy Speaker concluded his message with the traditional Islamic greeting: “Eid Mubarak!”, highlighting his commitment to religious harmony and solidarity among all Nigerians.

The message comes as Muslims nationwide celebrate the end of Ramadan with prayers, charity, and acts of community goodwill, marking a time of spiritual reflection and thanksgiving.
