ENUGU, NIGERIA – The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has commended leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-East for the peaceful and well-organized zonal congress held in Enugu State.
Following successful congresses at the ward, local government, and state levels, the outcomes were collectively adopted as a true reflection of the will of party members. The zonal congress proceeded through the consensus option, in line with Section 84(2) of the Electoral Act.
Kalu congratulated all newly elected zonal officials and praised the South-East governors for their commitment to the success of the congress, noting that the seamless coordination, calm atmosphere, and orderliness witnessed throughout the process speak to the unity and cohesion within the region.
“The goal of 2027 remains within reach. With sustained unity, dedication, and collective resolve, victory is assured,” Kalu stated.
Ahead of the party’s national convention this weekend, he urged all members to remain steadfast in their support for the growth and stability of the APC and in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
