The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the party’s recently concluded e-registration exercise as a landmark achievement that has laid a solid foundation for electoral success in future polls.
In a statement issued by its spokesman, Seye Oladejo, the party said the exercise strengthened internal democracy, enhanced transparency, and expanded the party’s grassroots base. The requirement of a valid voter’s card and National Identification Number (NIN) helped ensure the integrity of the process and eliminate ghost members.
The APC noted that the registration of over 10 million members nationwide reflects the party’s widespread acceptability and organizational strength. This verifiable membership base, the party added, reinforces fairness and trust among members while positioning the APC strongly for upcoming elections.
The exercise is seen as a critical step in digitalizing party operations and deepening citizen participation in the democratic process.
