The question is simple. The Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency has multiple 2027 aspirants flying the flags of various political parties. So why is Rep. Obi Aguocha fixated exclusively on Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji?
Obi Agucha has not attacked candidates from other parties. He has issued no statements against other challengers. No press releases. No social media salvos. Nothing.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the Political observers in Abia State say the answer requires no deep analysis.
Rt.Hon.Chinedum Orji,former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, grassroots mobiliser, and APC’s most formidable challenger in the constituency — simply gives Aguocha nightmares. The fixation is not political strategy. It is fear wearing the costume of aggression.
There is also the matter of gratitude or the stunning absence of it. Those with long memories in Ikwuano/Umuahia will recall that Aguocha’ inlaw was nominated by the orji family to be commissioner for finance Mr.Aham Uko,Agocha as the former Ohuhu President General was never always Orji’s enemy. He drew from the same political well. He benefited from the same family structure he now pours contempt upon.
Yet today, he writes what observers are calling rubbish against the very people who once gave him political oxygen.
Analysts have a clinical name for it: Ikuku Bitterness Syndrome — IBS. The symptoms are clear. The diagnosis is unanimous.
2027 will be the cure.
