Former Abia State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Sir Don Ubani, has strongly criticized Professor Mkpa Agu Mkpa for publicly disparaging three former governors of the state.
In a sharply worded article, Ubani expressed disappointment over a viral video in which Professor Mkpa claimed Governor Alex Otti’s two-year achievements surpassed the combined 24-year records of former Governors Orji Uzor Kalu, T. A. Orji, and Okezie Ikpeazu.
Ubani reminded the public that Professor Mkpa served prominently under all three administrations—as Commissioner, Vice Chancellor, SSG, and ABSIEC Chairman—and never resigned or declined their appointments.
He described Mkpa’s remarks as “self-destructive,” “nauseating,” and unbecoming of an academic of his stature, questioning his motives and moral standing.
