Emeka Atuma Reaffirms Commitment to Quality Representation, Prioritises Youths, Women, Traditional Institutions

Umuahia, Abia State — Former member of the House of Representatives and the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Abia Central in the 2027 general election, Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma, has reaffirmed his commitment to providing quality representation, saying investment in youths, women and traditional institutions will remain at the heart of his development agenda.

CDA News Nigeria reports that Atuma made the pledge while expressing appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the leadership of the APC, party stakeholders, members of the Kabila Movement and the people of Abia Central for their continued support.

The former federal lawmaker, who represented the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency between 2003 and 2007, said his years in public office were marked by people-oriented legislation, road infrastructure, educational support, healthcare initiatives and empowerment programmes for women and youths. He added that he has remained actively engaged with communities, traditional rulers and professionals even after leaving office.

“Leadership is a continuous responsibility, not a seasonal activity. Investing in youths, women and our traditional institutions remains my priority because they are critical to sustainable development and inclusive growth,” Atuma said.

He pledged that, if elected to represent Abia Central in the Senate, he would attract more development projects, improve healthcare and education, support agriculture, create employment opportunities and strengthen partnerships that promote sustainable growth across the senatorial district.

Atuma also thanked APC members and the people of Abia Central for their confidence, assuring them of dedicated service, effective representation and purposeful leadership.
