The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim (ESOCS), Calabar Province, has joined the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in raising its voice against the growing wave of kidnapping and insecurity across the country.
In a passionate appeal, the church condemned the increasing abduction of children, youths, and elderly Nigerians, describing the situation as a national tragedy that requires urgent intervention.
“Our children are missing. Nigeria is bleeding. Heaven must hear us,” the group declared, expressing concern over the pain and trauma experienced by families whose loved ones have been taken by criminal elements.
According to ESOCS, fear has gradually become part of everyday life for many Nigerians, with communities living under the constant threat of attacks and abductions.
The church urged the Federal Government and security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue victims, strengthen intelligence gathering, and bring perpetrators of these crimes to justice.
It also called on religious leaders, traditional institutions, civil society organisations, and citizens to unite in prayer and collective action to restore peace and security across the nation.
“For too long, our children, youths, and elders have been stolen from schools, homes, and streets. Mothers are crying. Fathers are broken. Enough is enough,” the statement read.
ESOCS reaffirmed its commitment to standing with CAN in advocating for the protection of lives and the return of all abducted Nigerians, insisting that the nation must not surrender to fear and lawlessness.
