The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced a target of December 2025 to achieve full International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certification.
This was revealed during the unveiling of FAAN’s new Integrated ISO Policy. The policy combines two international standards—ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management and ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management—into a single framework.
FAAN’s management stated that the authority is already 70% through the certification process. External auditors are scheduled for November to assess compliance and address any remaining gaps.
The Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, emphasized that the policy reinforces a culture of documented procedures, service quality, safety, and environmental responsibility across all Nigerian airports under its management. This move reaffirms FAAN’s commitment to aligning Nigeria’s airport operations with global best practices.
