Fubara Pledges to Deliver Rivers for Tinubu in 2027, Urges State Unity

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has made his strongest political statement since defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC), vowing to deliver the state for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Speaking on Thursday at the inauguration of the Egbeda–Omerelu link road, Governor Fubara emphasized that his administration’s focus is on peace and statewide development, which he argued is only possible through political alignment with the Presidency.

“We already know our position: it is to make sure that development goes all round Rivers State, and that medium is to ensure that everyone supports Mr. President,” Fubara stated. “We will support every other group to ensure that we deliver for Mr. President come 2027.”

The governor called for unity, asserting that progress cannot thrive in an atmosphere of conflict, and promised to pursue an inclusive development agenda that reaches every part of the state.
