Turaki PDP led Gains Unity as State Chairmen Pledge Full Loyalty to Turaki-Led NWC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) witnessed a major consolidation of its leadership on Wednesday as state chairmen from across the country pledged their full loyalty to the National Working Committee (NWC) led by Dr. Tanimu Turaki.

The endorsement, made during an interactive session in Abuja, signals a clear effort to ease recent internal tensions and present a united front ahead of the 2027 general elections. Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, Chairman of the PDP State Chairmen’s Forum, declared on behalf of the 27 chairmen present, “We are solidly behind the Tanimu Turaki-led PDP NWC.”

In his remarks, Turaki highlighted the show of support as evidence that purported factional leaders lack credibility, asking, “If all the state chairmen are supporting us, then who, sincerely speaking, can be fighting us?” He framed the meeting as a crucial step for frank discussions to rebuild and stabilize the party.
