ABUJA – Traditional and community leaders from key chiefdoms within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have collectively pledged their support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and his anticipated re-election bid in 2027.
The leaders, representing Karshi, Karu, Garki, and Bwari, made the declaration during a visit by the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a grassroots mobilisation group. They praised Tinubu for including an indigenous FCT son in his cabinet and acknowledged the developmental strides under FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
The Sapeyi of Garki, Alhaji Usman Nga Kupi, stated that the government’s projects in the FCT create a “moral obligation” for the people to reciprocate with loyalty and electoral support. Similar endorsements came from the Emir of Karshi, the Sa’karuyi of Karu, and the Sarkin Bwari, who highlighted improved road networks and greater inclusion of traditional institutions in governance.
The coordinator of the ambassadors, Mr. Adamu Abdullahi, described Tinubu’s administration as historically inclusive, noting that the appointment of an FCT indigene as minister reflects a commitment to national integration.
