First Remembrance Prayers for Buhari Held on Monday

The first remembrance prayers for former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will hold on Monday, with family members, political associates, supporters and well-wishers expected to gather in his honour.

CDA News Nigeria reports that the prayer session is part of activities lined up to remember the late former President and reflect on his contributions to Nigeria during his years in public service.

The event is expected to feature Islamic prayers, tributes and messages from prominent Nigerians who worked closely with Buhari during his time in office and throughout his political career.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that the remembrance prayers will also provide an opportunity for supporters and members of the public to pay their respects and offer prayers for the repose of his soul.

Since news of his passing, tributes have continued to pour in from across Nigeria and beyond, with many leaders describing him as a disciplined public servant whose legacy will remain part of the country’s political history.

More details about the remembrance activities are expected to be made available by the family and organisers.
