Five Arraigned in Magistrate Court Over Alleged Killing of Solomon Ikokwu, Case Adjourned

UMUAHIA – A Magistrate Court in Umuahia has adjourned the case of five individuals accused of involvement in the killing of Mr. Solomon Ikokwu.

The five suspects, including a man named Mr. Alozie Eluwa, Mr.Hope Ikechi , Mr.Emeka Nwagboso ,Mr.Chikeka Nwosu ,Mr Eze Chimobi were arraigned at Magistrate Court 9. During the hearing, the accused gave differing accounts.

Mr. Nwaogboso admitted to beating the victim but denied killing him. The two other suspects claimed that they don’t know why the are here.

And two others said the were not present when the incident occurred because they weren’t on duty on that day.

The Magistrate adjourned the case until November 28, 2025. The court ordered that the matter be sent to the Attorney General’s office for transfer to the High Court, which has the authority to hear murder cases. The accused were remanded in custody until the next hearing.
