INEC to Review Court Judgment on NDC, Awaits Certified True Copy

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stated that it will review the recent court judgment concerning the NDC after obtaining the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the ruling.

The electoral body said it is yet to receive the official copy of the judgment and, therefore, cannot make a definitive pronouncement on its implications until a thorough legal assessment is conducted.

According to INEC, the commission remains committed to complying with the provisions of the law and ensuring that all decisions are guided by due process and the relevant legal framework.

The development comes amid growing public interest and political reactions following the court’s decision, which has generated debate among stakeholders across the country.

INEC emphasized that reviewing the Certified True Copy of the judgment is necessary to fully understand the court’s directives and determine the appropriate administrative and legal steps to take.

Political observers believe the commission’s eventual position could have significant implications for the affected political platform and the broader political landscape.

As stakeholders await further developments, INEC has assured Nigerians that it will act in accordance with the law once the judgment has been properly examined.

The commission is expected to communicate its position after completing its review of the court documents.
