A former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, has fired back at the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Hon. Obi Aguocha, urging him to focus on what he called “poor delusional representation” instead of throwing unprovoked tantrums.
In a statement made available to journalists, Orji expressed frustration over Aguocha’s repeated verbal attacks, describing them as a sign of low self-esteem, cluelessness, and abysmal failure as a federal lawmaker. “Can someone advise Hon. Obi Aguocha to kindly focus on his poor delusional representation at the green chamber than throwing unprovoked tantrums at me?” Orji queried.
The former Speaker also accused Aguocha of exploiting the incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu for cheap socio-political emotions and clout-chasing, while failing in legislative duties, bill sponsorships, and human capital development.
Orji challenged Aguocha to a public debate moderated by any person of his choosing to account for his stewardship. “It is not a sin to lose an election, but it is a bigger sin to be an embodiment of failure at the assignment the lawmaker presently has,” he added.
Recall that Aguocha had earlier dared Orji, stating he defeated him in the previous election and would do so again. Orji retorted, “2027 is operation show your scorecard. Defeating me last election should not be an achievement.”
