Some political stakeholders and supporters in the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency have declared their support for former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the supporters expressed confidence in Rt. Hon. Orji’s leadership qualities, political experience, and capacity to provide effective representation for the constituency if elected.
The group also criticized what it described as sustained propaganda by political opponents, insisting that such campaigns would not influence their decision. According to the supporters, the electorate will ultimately assess all candidates based on their track records, accessibility, and commitment to the welfare and development of the people.
They further alleged that the current representation has not met their expectations regarding constituency projects, empowerment programmes, and human capital development. In their view, the constituency requires more visible infrastructure projects and greater opportunities for youths and women.
The supporters urged eligible voters to carefully evaluate the records, achievements, and campaign promises of all aspirants before making their choice in the 2027 general election.
