Health advocate Calister Ella Chinemerem has issued a heartfelt reminder this January—designated as Breast Cancer Awareness month—for women to prioritize their health through regular checks and early detection.
In her message, Chinemerem emphasized that breast cancer does not only affect older, married, or genetically predisposed women, but can occur at any age.
She urged women to:
· Perform regular self-breast examinations
· Attend clinical breast checks when needed
· Speak up if something feels unusual
· Encourage sisters, mothers, friends, and daughters to do the same
“Your health matters. Your life matters,” she wrote. “Please don’t ignore the signs. Check your breasts, spread the word, and save a life.”
