Judge Rebukes SAN for “Distorting Facts” in PDP Leadership Suit

Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court in Abuja has strongly rebuked Senior Advocate of Nigeria Terkaa Aondo for allegedly distorting facts in the ongoing Peoples Democratic Party leadership dispute.

The case involves the Kabiru Turaki-led faction of the PDP against the faction loyal to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, with both sides seeking control of the party’s national headquarters.

During Friday’s hearing, Justice Abdulmalik expressed shock at Aondo’s account of previous proceedings, stating, “I am surprised and amazed at his response… If something happens, say the truth; heaven will not fall.”

The judge granted a motion for joinder filed by the Wike-backed faction and adjourned the case to January 23 for a definite hearing of all applications, including a motion for recusal filed by the Turaki faction.
