103-Year-Old Woman Dies in Lagos Residential Building Fire

A 103-year-old woman has died in a fire that gutted a residential bungalow on Bola Street, Oyingbo, Lagos State, on Friday.

According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the blaze also destroyed six shops, eight rooms, and a mini flat attached to the building.

The fire reportedly started in one of the rooms before spreading rapidly. Emergency responders, including LASEMA’s Fire Unit, managed to contain and extinguish the fire.

The body of the deceased centenarian has been handed over to her family. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
