…Delivered Nigeria’s National Statement, Advocated Stronger African Representation at UNSC
Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, has arrived in Abuja following his participation in the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the Vice President represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and led Nigeria’s delegation at the high-level global gathering.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that Shettima delivered Nigeria’s national statement and articulated the country’s positions on key issues, including global governance, peace and security, sustainable development, international cooperation, and reform of multilateral institutions.
During the diplomatic engagements, Nigeria reaffirmed its commitment to multilateralism and advocated for a more inclusive and representative global governance system, including stronger African representation on the United Nations Security Council.
With his return to Abuja, Vice President Shettima’s participation at the UNGA comes to a close, following a series of engagements focused on advancing Nigeria’s interests and strengthening international partnerships.
