King Charles Formally Removes Prince Andrew’s Royal Titles

King Charles III has officially stripped his brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, of his royal titles through a formal legal decree.

The action, confirmed in the UK’s official public record, The Gazette, revokes Andrew’s “His Royal Highness” (HRH) style and the title of “Prince.” A separate notice also formalized his earlier removal as the Duke of York from the Roll of the Peerage.

This step finalizes the disgraced royal’s removal from the core of the monarchy. The decision follows renewed scandal over Andrew’s association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The king’s move is considered an unprecedented banishment in modern royal history.
