UMUDIKE — The Vice-Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Professor Ursula Ngozi Akanwa, has called for unity and collective effort to advance the institution.
Prof. Akanwa made this call on Sunday during her official visits to the St. Thomas Aquinas Chaplaincy and the Chapel of Revelation on campus.
She emphasized that strong institutions rely on individuals willing to contribute positively to the system.Describing the chaplaincies as critical stakeholders, the Vice-Chancellor praised their vital role in shaping the moral character of students.
“Promoting morality and decent behaviour largely depends on the clergy,” Prof. Akanwa stated, urging staff, students, and religious bodies to work together.
She further reaffirmed her commitment to open leadership, promising an administration that welcomes ideas from all quarters.In response, Pastor Izuchukwu Ugbogu of the Chapel of Revelation and Rev. Fr. Leo of the St. Thomas Aquinas Chaplaincy led prayers for the university management.
They prayed for divine wisdom, knowledge, and protection for the leadership team.
