“Nobody Can Beat Kwankwaso In Kano” — Umeh

The lawmaker representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Victor Umeh, has declared that nobody can defeat the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) vice-presidential candidate, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, in Kano State.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that Senator Umeh expressed this confidence on Friday during an interview on Channels Television’s “Politics Today,” while speaking on the NDC’s level of preparedness for the 2027 general election.

He insisted that regardless of the noise generated by rivals in Kano, Kwankwaso remains unbeatable in the state once the election is credible, transparent, free and fair, adding that he was working closely with Kwankwaso and other party leaders.

Umeh cited the reception given to NDC’s Rivers State governorship candidate, Dumo Lulu-Briggs, in Port Harcourt as evidence of the party’s growing momentum, noting that the visit effectively shut down the city.

He further referenced the massive crowds that trailed NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi during the same Port Harcourt outing, arguing that such enthusiasm reflects genuine voter motivation ahead of the polls.

According to Umeh, the NDC is well prepared to run a credible opposition campaign with strong candidates across the country in the 2027 general election.

CDA News Nigeria will continue monitoring reactions to Umeh’s remarks ahead of 2027.
