The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a security guard employed by a private company following allegations that he systematically stole spare parts belonging to his employer over a period of time.
According to a statement released by the state police public relations officer, the suspect was apprehended after the company’s management reported a pattern of missing parts from its inventory. A discreet investigation led operatives to the security guard, who is believed to have exploited his access to the facility to carry out the alleged theft.
The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged before a competent court upon completion of investigations. The Command warned employees against abusing positions of trust, assuring residents that officers would continue to tackle workplace crime across the state.
