The traditional rulers of Ohuhu in Umuahia North Local Government Area have conferred a prestigious chieftaincy title on Hon. Emeka Atuma and endorsed his aspiration to represent Abia Central Senatorial District in the Senate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the historic conferment took place during the “Iwa Ji Ohuhu 2026” celebration, where the chieftaincy title “Ihie Ukwu Ohuhu” was formally bestowed by the Ndi Eze Ohuhu in recognition of Hon. Atuma’s connection with the people and his contributions to community development and service to humanity.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the gathering brought together traditional rulers, community leaders, and stakeholders, including His Excellency Ambassador Empire Kanu, former Nigerian Ambassador to Argentina. Governor Alex Otti was represented by Hon. Uzor Nwachukwu, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, while Rt. Hon. Obi Aguocha, Member Representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, and Chief Smart Ihuoma, Mayor of Umuahia North LGA, were also in attendance.
