Osun Election: ‘If You See Them, Kill Them,’ Lawmaker Tells Supporters

OSOGBO — A lawmaker in Osun State has allegedly urged supporters to attack political opponents using the phrase “If you see them, kill them,” ahead of Saturday’s governorship election, sparking outrage and alarm among stakeholders.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that the controversial statement was made in a viral video where the politician was captured addressing a crowd of supporters, raising tension in the already volatile political climate in the state . The development comes amid rising cases of electoral violence, including a recent attack on INEC officials in Odo-Otin Local Government Area where armed hoodlums carted away three packs of Permanent Voter Cards .

CDA News Nigeria reports that the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, has condemned the attack on INEC officials and ordered a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
