Abia State civil servants have received a festive boost as Governor Alex Otti approved the payment of the 13th-month salary for 2025.
The payment was released on Wednesday, December 17, just two days after workers received their regular December salaries. The move underscores the administration’s focus on timely financial obligations and worker welfare.
At least fifteen ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) have already been credited, with payments to remaining MDAs expected to continue.
While widely welcomed, some civil servants humorously expressed concern about managing the early influx of funds before Christmas.
