Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested two suspected robbers and recovered several stolen mobile phones during an operation in Lagos.
The suspects were reportedly apprehended following intelligence gathering and coordinated patrol activities by police officers in the state.
According to police authorities, the suspects specialised in dispossessing residents of their phones and other valuables in different parts of Lagos.
Items recovered from the suspects include multiple mobile phones believed to have been stolen from victims during robbery operations.
The police said investigations are ongoing to determine the involvement of the suspects in other criminal activities and to identify possible members of the gang still at large.
Residents were also urged to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to security agencies to support ongoing efforts at tackling crime across the state.
