ABA, ABIA — The Abia State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the killers of a Nigerian Army Lance Corporal who was murdered in Aba on November 21.
CDA News gathered that the Commissioner of Police Danladi Isa confirmed the incident on Friday, describing it as a “heinous crime” and assuring the public that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
The soldier, identified as Lance Corporal David, was reportedly trailed to his family’s residence in Aba and killed in a suspected cult-related attack, witnessed by his parents.
CP Isa stated that he personally visited the crime scene as part of the investigation, emphasizing, “The Police are on it. No culprit will be left unpunished.”
The Commissioner also revealed that the command has activated a statewide technology-based security system to track criminals and ensure safety during the festive season.
He warned “non-state actors” in Abia to embrace peace or face the full wrath of the law.
