The Presidency has called on the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to thoroughly investigate the alleged PFIPC scam and expose those behind what it described as a criminal network.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the Presidency urged both security agencies to carry out a comprehensive investigation aimed at identifying the masterminds, collaborators and beneficiaries of the alleged fraudulent scheme.
According to the Presidency, uncovering the network behind the scam is necessary to protect Nigerians from financial fraud and strengthen public confidence in the government’s commitment to combating economic crimes.
The statement stressed that anyone found culpable should be prosecuted in accordance with the law, regardless of status or affiliation, adding that fraudulent schemes undermine investor confidence and threaten the country’s economic stability.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the call comes amid growing public concern over the activities linked to the alleged PFIPC scam, with many affected individuals demanding justice and the recovery of lost funds.
The Presidency also reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting law enforcement agencies in tackling financial crimes and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable through due process.
