Woman Alleges Threats to Life Over Sister, Appeals for Public Intervention

A woman identified as Ewoma Ibeji has publicly alleged that she and members of her family have been subjected to threats and intimidation by one Mr. Umukoro Unukpia over issues involving her sister, Glory Uyoyo Oghogho.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that Ibeji, in a public statement, claimed the alleged harassment stemmed from a dispute involving her sister and another woman identified as Elizabeth Akhere. She further alleged that her sister fled Nigeria out of concern for her safety.

According to Ibeji, the alleged threats have placed her family under emotional distress. She also claimed that the prolonged tension contributed to the death of their mother, Mrs. Patience Oghogho, who passed away on August 12, 2024. These claims have not been independently verified by CDA News Nigeria.

Ibeji appealed to the public to intervene, urging Mr. Unukpia to stop what she described as harassment and intimidation of her family. She further stated that if he wished to pursue any legal action against her sister, who she said currently resides in Canada, he should do so through the appropriate legal authorities.

CDA News Nigeria reports that the allegations represent the account of the complainant. As of the time of filing this report, Mr. Umukoro Unukpia had not publicly responded to the allegations, and no official statement from law enforcement regarding the matter was immediately available.
