President Bola Tinubu on Sunday hosted a high-level delegation from the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) led by its Commander, General Dagvin Anderson, at the State House in Abuja.
The delegation, which included the U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, Keith Heffern, was received by the President alongside Nigeria’s top security leadership. Attendees included National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Defence Minister General Christopher Musa, service chiefs, and heads of intelligence agencies.
The meeting underscores continued security cooperation between Nigeria and the United States amid ongoing efforts to address regional instability and terrorism. The discussions are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral defense relations, intelligence sharing, and joint operational support.
The visit follows recent diplomatic engagements between both nations and highlights the priority placed on security collaboration under the Tinubu administration.
