Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has called on traditional rulers in the Southern region to remain vigilant and committed to the socio-cultural and economic unity of the region and Nigeria at large.
Speaking at the Southern Traditional Rulers Council roundtable meeting held at Galaxy La-Palm Royal Resort, GRA Phase II, Port Harcourt, the Governor emphasized national stability and continuity. He declared that the country remains in capable hands under President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing ongoing economic reforms and major infrastructure projects such as the coastal road, while acknowledging existing challenges.
Fubara said many Nigerians want the current leadership to continue, adding: “No one changes a winning team” — a clear endorsement of President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
The Governor wished the traditional rulers a fruitful and successful deliberation and called on them to sustain their advisory roles in fostering unity, peace, and development across the Southern region.
