ABIA CENTRAL, NIGERIA — Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma has officially unveiled his campaign manifesto as he positions himself for the Abia Central Senatorial District seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Branded as “A People-First Manifesto for Abia Central,” the document emphasizes the slogan “Abia Central Shall Rise Again” and outlines a comprehensive agenda aimed at restoring dignity, opportunity, and economic growth in the senatorial zone, which includes Umuahia, Ikwuano, Isiala Ngwa, and surrounding communities.
The manifesto identifies eight core pillars:
Economic Revitalization & Empowerment – Supporting SMEs, microfinance, skills hubs, and promoting local “Made-in-Abia” products.
Youth Development & Job Creation – Digital skills programs, employment initiatives, and agriculture-tech ventures.
Infrastructure & Rural Development – Roads, renewable energy, water and sanitation, markets, and transport networks.
Education & Human Capital – School rehabilitation, scholarships, and vocational/technical training.
Healthcare & Social Welfare – Upgraded primary health centers and support for vulnerable groups.
Security & Community Safety – Community policing and intelligence sharing.
Transparent Representation & Accountability – Regular town halls, performance reports, and open communication.
Agricultural Transformation – Modern farming techniques, market access, and storage solutions for farmers.
Atuma, who previously served in Nigeria’s House of Representatives for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency (2003–2007), highlighted his legislative experience, grassroots connections, and track record of service as reasons voters should support him.
Framing his campaign as a movement (#GraceMovement) rather than just an election bid, Atuma called for collective action, saying: “The time to rise is now. The future belongs to us.”
The manifesto is expected to generate discussion across social media and grassroots networks, marking Atuma as a strong contender in the 2027 senatorial race.
