The Grace Movement, a grassroots political group, has formally endorsed Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma as the right leader for the Abia Central Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a position paper signed by the group’s Coordinator, Jerry Awa, Atuma was described as a seasoned legislator with deep expertise in appropriation processes, a proven ability to build cross-party relationships, and strong negotiation skills essential for effective representation.
The paper highlighted Atuma’s previous tenure as House of Representatives member for Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency, during which he facilitated grassroots projects in education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and erosion control.
Awa stated that Atuma’s leadership is defined by “persuasion, negotiation, and quiet effectiveness,” qualities deemed crucial for the Senate.
The group affirmed its readiness to mobilize support for Atuma’s senatorial bid, aiming to “change the narrative and restore trust in leadership.”
