President Bola Tinubu has nominated Dr. Bernard Doro from Plateau State as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The President forwarded his name to the Senate for confirmation.
This nomination follows the elevation of the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, who became the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress in July.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced the nomination in a statement on Tuesday.
Dr. Doro brings over two decades of experience in clinical practice, pharmaceutical management, and community development in both the UK and Nigeria. He holds degrees in Pharmacy and Law, an MBA, and a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice. He has also worked as an Independent Prescriber and Advanced Clinical Practitioner with the NHS.
If confirmed by the Senate, Dr. Doro will be sworn in at a Federal Executive Council meeting.
