IKWUANO — Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu has officially commenced stakeholder consultations following his emergence as the All Progressives Congress candidate for the Ikwuano State House of Assembly seat ahead of the 2027 general elections .
The candidate, whose name appears as Ishiowu Chika on the official APC list of state assembly flagbearers , has built his political foundation on grassroots advocacy through the For Us, By Us movement . His platform focuses on youth development, agriculture, education, and local empowerment initiatives .
CDA News Nigeria gathered that Ishionwu is committed to inclusive governance, with plans to establish an Elder Advisory Council comprising traditional rulers, youth representatives, women leaders, and other key stakeholders . The council would meet every two months to assess development and provide feedback aimed at improving constituency representation .
According to his campaign team, every major legislative proposal affecting Ikwuano will be preceded by consultations with traditional rulers, the Elders Advisory Council, women leaders, youth representatives, professionals and stakeholders from the various communities, ensuring that legislation reflects the collective aspirations of the people .
Among the priorities outlined by the APC candidate are strengthening agriculture through value-chain development, improving access to quality education, expanding youth entrepreneurship opportunities, and promoting primary healthcare . His growing acceptance was demonstrated during his declaration for the seat, where thousands of supporters reportedly gathered in a massive show of solidarity .
