the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared its readiness for any outcome ahead of the 2027 general election, insisting it is confident of defeating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) should the polls be free and fair.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, made the declaration during an interview on the Naija Unfiltered Podcast, responding to questions about the opposition’s chances despite the multiplicity of opposition groups ahead of 2027.
Abdullahi expressed confidence in the party’s electoral prospects but raised concerns over the credibility of the process, insisting the ADC was prepared to protect its votes against alleged APC manipulation.
He cited comments attributed to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike suggesting he could have delivered the Osun State governorship election for the APC, describing the remark as a confession of intent to influence electoral outcomes regardless of the will of the people.
According to Abdullahi, the ruling party’s alleged resort to threats stems from its awareness that Nigerians have abandoned it, insisting the ADC’s supporters and votes would need close protection throughout the 2027 electoral process.
