the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the final list of presidential candidates and their running mates for the January 2027 general election.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the Secretary to the Commission, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, confirming candidates sponsored by 18 political parties, comprising 16 male and two female presidential candidates.
According to INEC, the two female presidential candidates are Ada Elizabeth Fredrick Okwori of the National Democratic Party and Nkem Esther Okereke of the National Rescue Movement, while the vice-presidential list features 14 male and four female candidates.
The full list includes APC’s Bola Tinubu (74) and Kashim Shettima (59); ADC’s Atiku Abubakar (79) and Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (61); and NDC’s Peter Obi (65) and Rabiu Kwankwaso (69).
Others on the ballot include PDP’s Sandy Onor and Umaru Babangida; Labour Party’s Sunday Okereke and Hajja Bintu Konto; APM’s Seyi Makinde and Musa Lawal Daura; SDP’s Adewole Adebayo and Usman Bugaje; AAC’s Omoyele Sowore and Haruna Magashi; and PRP’s Donald Duke and Kabiru Rabiu, among candidates from the AA, ADP, APP, BP, DLA, YPP and ZLP.
