IRGC Claims Missile Strike on Netanyahu’s Office

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a missile attack targeting the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, marking a dramatic escalation in the expanding Middle East conflict .

In a statement carried by Iran’s Fars news agency, the IRGC said it had successfully targeted “the office of the criminal prime minister of the Zionist regime” as well as the headquarters of the Israeli Air Force commander . The elite force stated that domestically-produced Kheibar ballistic missiles were used in the operation, adding that Netanyahu’s fate remains “unknown” .

The attack represents the latest wave of Iranian retaliation following coordinated U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Tehran over the weekend that reportedly killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, senior military commanders, and civilians .

Regional tensions have soared as multiple fronts erupted across the Middle East. Explosions were reported over Jerusalem, while Iranian-backed militias struck targets in Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE . The conflict has also drawn in Hezbollah, which launched attacks from Lebanon into northern Israel .

Global powers have urgently called for de-escalation, with EU chief Ursula von der Leyen warning of the need to “stop the conflict spreading” across the region . Meanwhile, the Strait of Hormuz has been closed to shipping, threatening global energy supplies .

There has been no immediate confirmation from Israeli authorities regarding damage or casualties from the strike on the Prime Minister’s office .
