UMUAHIA, NIGERIA – Human rights activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has launched a scathing attack on Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, describing him as a failure whose administration is delivering only half-baked transformation.
Sowore, in a statement shared via his social media handles, accused the Labour Party governor of falling short of the high expectations that accompanied his election. He alleged that Otti’s much-touted reforms across key sectors remain superficial, leaving critical infrastructure and governance gaps unaddressed.
“I can confirm to everyone that Alex Otti is a failure. He’s only doing half transformation in Abia State,” Sowore declared.
The activist, who has been a vocal critic of various political figures, called on Abia residents to hold the governor accountable for campaign promises. Sowore further suggested that the governor’s performance does not reflect the change mantra that swept him into office.
Otti’s administration is yet to issue an official response to the criticism. The governor’s supporters have, however, dismissed Sowore’s remarks as politically motivated and disconnected from the realities on the ground.
