Wike’s Allies Giadom, Nwanosike Win South-South APC Exco Seats

ASABA, DELTA STATE – Allies of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, have emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-South zonal congress held in Delta State on Wednesday.

Victor Giadom was reelected as the Zonal Vice Chairman (South-South), while Samuel Nwanosike was elected as the Zonal Publicity Secretary. Both positions are among the two slots allocated to Rivers State in the South-South Zonal Executive Committee.

The congress, which was held peacefully, saw delegates from across the six South-South states converge to elect new zonal officers. Giadom, a seasoned APC chieftain, secured his return to the position, while Nwanosike, a former chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State, takes up the publicity role.

Political observers see the outcome as a consolidation of the Wike faction’s influence within the APC structure in the South-South region. The Minister has maintained a strong political presence in his home state and across the zone since joining the ruling party after the 2023 elections.

The APC National Working Committee has yet to issue an official statement on the congress, but party sources described the exercise as credible and orderly.
