Aliko Dangote Makes History as First African to Reach $30 Billion Net Worth

Lagos– Aliko Dangote, Africa’s foremost industrialist, has shattered records by becoming the first African to amass a net worth of $30 billion.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, Dangote’s fortune saw a significant surge, gaining $430 million recently to cross the historic threshold. This milestone caps a remarkable period of growth for his business empire.

The wealth increase is largely attributed to the aggressive expansion of Dangote Industries. A key driver was the recent opening of a massive, three-million-tonne cement plant in CĂ´te d’Ivoire, boosting the company’s pan-African capacity.

Furthermore, ambitious plans are underway to more than double the output of the landmark Dangote Refinery to 1.4 million barrels per day, which would make it the largest refinery in the world.

This achievement solidifies Dangote’s status not just as Africa’s wealthiest person, but as a transformative figure in global industry.
