Tinubu picks APC Presidential Forms for Re-election Bid

The lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Hon. James Faleke, has officially picked up the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election .

The forms, valued at N100 million, were presented to Faleke by the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, at the party’s nomination centre on Tuesday in Abuja . Faleke, who also serves as the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, completed the purchase on behalf of the President .

The collection of the forms formally signals the commencement of President Tinubu’s re-election bid under the APC platform . The party has fixed its presidential primary election for May 23, 2026 .

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the Presidential and National Assembly elections for Saturday, January 16, 2027 . Campaigns for the presidential election are set to begin on August 19, 2026 .

The development has sparked discussions across political circles, with some party stakeholders raising concerns about transparency in the nomination process. Several aspirants have reportedly faced difficulties accessing forms without the backing of state governors .
