UMUAHIA – The All Burgers Congress (APC) has officially announced the winners of its House of Representatives primary elections in Abia State. Prominent leaders secured return tickets across major federal constituencies.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, clinched the ticket for Bende Federal Constituency.
Kalu emerged unopposed following unanimous endorsement from party leaders, delegates, and ward executives across the 13 electoral wards of the constituency.Similarly, former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Rt. Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, secured her victory to run for the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency seat.
Stakeholders and grassroots networks heavily backed her bid.In other results across the state, Hon. Chris Nkwonta emerged victorious for the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency ticket. For the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedum Orji won the primary ticket.
Meanwhile, Hon. Uzoma Theodore Uka clinched the ticket for Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South. Hon. Udo Alozie won the Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo primary, and Hon. Ikenna Nicholas secured the ticket for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
APC officials commended the party stakeholders and delegates for their peaceful and orderly conduct throughout the direct primary process.
