Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has officially accepted a key leadership role in the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign for the upcoming Ekiti State gubernatorial election, vowing to secure a landslide victory for the party’s candidate, Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
Sani made the announcement on Thursday after a meeting with Oyebanji in Ado-Ekiti, where he was appointed to head a strategic committee within the campaign structure.
“I accept this responsibility wholeheartedly. We are going to deliver Ekiti for APC with a landslide. Governor Oyebanji’s performance in office speaks for itself, and the people will re-elect him overwhelmingly,” Sani declared.
The Kaduna governor praised Oyebanji’s developmental strides in infrastructure, healthcare, and education, describing him as “a performer who deserves a second term.”
Oyebanji expressed confidence in Sani’s capacity to mobilise support across the state, thanking the APC leadership for the seamless coordination of the campaign machinery.
The Ekiti gubernatorial election is scheduled for later this year. The opposition parties have yet to respond to the APC’s latest campaign deployment.
