Abuja, Nigeria — Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Freetown, Sierra Leone, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the ECOWAS Summit. CDA News Nigeria gathered that the summit will bring together leaders of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to deliberate on key regional issues, including security, economic integration, and democratic governance.
According to information gathered by CDA News Nigeria, the meeting is expected to review the political and security situation across the West African sub-region while considering strategies to strengthen cooperation among member states.
The summit comes at a time when ECOWAS continues to address challenges such as terrorism, constitutional order, regional trade, and economic development. Nigeria is expected to play a significant role in discussions aimed at promoting peace, stability, and sustainable growth across the region.
