VP Shettima Urges Northern Leaders to Resist Division, Back Tinubu’s Agenda

Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima has called on the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) to stand united behind President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and resist attempts to divide the nation.

Shettima made the appeal on Wednesday while receiving a delegation of the northern socio-cultural group led by its Board of Trustees Chairman, Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The Vice President emphasized that Nigeria’s diversity remains its strength, stating: “We must continue to resist all attempts to divide us or stir mischief among us. Our future depends on unity.”

Shettima distinguished between genuine grievances seeking justice and those fueled by greed, assuring that the Tinubu administration would address legitimate concerns while isolating forces profiting from chaos.

He outlined government efforts to revive the North through education reforms, agricultural transformation, and security operations that have neutralized bandit leaders in troubled communities.

The ACF leadership pledged support for the administration’s agenda and invited the Vice President to their forthcoming 25th anniversary celebration.
