Bauchi Police Rescue Two, Arrest Suspected Kidnappers

BAUCHI – The Bauchi State Police Command has successfully rescued two kidnapped victims and arrested two suspects involved in the abduction.

According to a statement from the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Wakil, the incident began on October 25 when a resident, Stanley Abuchi, reported an attempted kidnapping at his home in Wuntin Dada.

When the assailants could not locate Abuchi, they abducted his girlfriend, Joy Stanley, and his friend, Adam Bala.

Police detectives swiftly responded, intercepting the suspects’ vehicle along Gidan Mai Jos Road. One suspect, Abubakar Musa, was apprehended at the scene, and both victims were rescued unharmed.

Investigations revealed the kidnappers had demanded a ₦400,000 ransom and stolen belongings worth ₦60,000. A follow-up operation on October 27 led to the arrest of a second suspect, Dahiru Umar, in Jos. A handcuff was recovered as evidence.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani Omolori Aliyu, has ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation
